Driver card downloads: Data must be downloaded at least every 28 days.
Vehicle unit downloads: Must occur at least every 90 days.
Downloads can be done manually or remotely using telematics and software tools.
Data Storage
Data must be securely stored for at least 12 months (often up to 24 months) to meet regulatory requirements.
Employers are responsible for maintaining access to and control over the data.
